Effective 5 September 2026
Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to customers, restaurants and shops using Orderoo. By using the service, you agree to them.
Current service: Orderoo records and sends orders to participating sellers. Customers pay the seller directly on collection or delivery; Orderoo does not currently process card payments.
1. About Orderoo
Orderoo is a local ordering platform operated by Orderoo in England. Contact: hello@orderoo.co.uk.
2. Role of the platform
Orderoo helps customers find participating restaurants and shops and submit orders. The seller is responsible for accepting and fulfilling an order, product quality, safety, allergens, delivery or collection, refunds and compliance with food-business laws. The contract for the products is between the customer and the seller.
3. Customer orders
Customers must provide accurate contact and delivery information, check the basket before submitting, and be available for collection or delivery. An order reference confirms receipt by the platform, not necessarily acceptance by the restaurant. The restaurant may accept, reject or cancel an order, including where an item is unavailable or delivery is not possible.
4. Prices and payment
Sellers are responsible for product prices, charges and availability. The total shown at checkout is based on the published menu. Payment is currently made directly to the seller. Any discrepancy should be raised with the seller before payment.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Customers should contact the seller promptly about changes, cancellation, missing items or refunds. Cancellation rights may be limited for food that is perishable, personalised or already being prepared. Nothing in these terms removes rights provided by UK consumer law.
6. Allergies and dietary requirements
Menu information is supplied by restaurants. Customers with an allergy or intolerance must review the allergen information and contact the restaurant directly before ordering if anything is unclear. Restaurants must provide accurate allergen information before purchase and again when food is delivered, where required.
7. Seller obligations
Sellers must provide accurate business, product, price, allergen and service information; keep availability current; monitor orders; communicate promptly with customers; and hold all registrations, licences, insurance and food-hygiene arrangements required for their operation. Seller access is limited to its own authorised account and data.
8. Approval and suspension
Non-alcohol sellers may be activated automatically when they sign in using their registered email. Alcohol sellers require separate licence approval. Orderoo may reject or suspend any seller to protect customers, platform security or service quality. Activation does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee. Restaurants must not misuse customer information or use it for unrelated marketing without a lawful basis.
9. Seller listing fees
Business listings are free during the Calderdale beta. There is no monthly listing charge and Orderoo does not take commission from product sales. If paid plans are introduced later, Orderoo will give sellers clear advance notice. No seller will be charged unless they actively agree to the applicable price and payment terms.
10. Alcohol and age-restricted products
Alcohol may only be listed by a seller after Orderoo separately approves the seller’s premises-licence information. The seller remains responsible for complying with its licence, permitted hours and all applicable law. Customers ordering alcohol must be 18 or over. The seller must apply a Challenge 25 policy, inspect acceptable photographic identification on delivery or collection, refuse supply when age cannot be verified, never leave alcohol unattended, and keep any records required by its licence. An online age declaration does not replace the seller’s identity check.
11. Acceptable use
Users must not submit false information, interfere with the service, access another user’s data, place fraudulent orders, upload unlawful material or use Orderoo in a way that harms customers, restaurants or the platform.
12. Availability and liability
We aim to keep Orderoo available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not responsible for seller preparation, product quality or delivery. We do not exclude liability where it cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or consumers’ statutory rights.
13. Privacy, changes and law
Use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms and publish the effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without depriving consumers of mandatory rights that apply where they live.
